CONTRACT COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Michael Cooper is a highly accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in equal opportunity, civil rights, personnel compliance, and small, minority, and disadvantaged business programming. He has held several high-profile positions, including the Director of Equal Opportunity and Assistant Office Head of Human Resources for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Prior to joining GDOT, Director of Contract Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity for Fulton County Government; and Director for Affirmative Action for Dekalb County Government.
In his role as Contract Compliance Officer, Michael works with Dekalb County Special Purpose Local Options Sales Tax (SPLOST) program and is responsible for monitoring the Dekalb Local Small Business Enterprise program in which he tracks DeKalb SPLOST utilization, including outreach, Title VI, and non-discrimination policy enforcement.
