SENIOR DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS
Al Franklin is an accomplished 20-year professional with a comprehensive background in business management that includes experience in city government, advertising, sales, digital marketing, and account management. He has more than 11 years of direct leadership experience with a primary focus in community relations and includes serving as a former three-time elected Lithonia City Councilman, and former Chairman and Vice Chairman of Lithonia Downtown Development Authority.
As Senior Director of Community and Cultural Affairs, Al is responsible for implementing community engagement plans that build trust and support for the City of Stonecrest among community, civic, business, and government leaders. He conceives, develops, and implements new programs and initiatives to align with the City of Stonecrest strategic priorities. He also develops targeted public involvement plans for districts, and works closely with Mayor, City Council, and City Administration leaders regarding community engagement
